How Do I Log Into My Account in OwlCat?

Click the Sign In link.
When you are logged into your account in OwlCat, you can
- renew items
- request items to be held
- save items to folders
- and more!
Step 1. Go to OwlCat
Open OwlCat by following this link or by clicking on the icon on the Library home page.
Step 2. Click on Sign In Link
The link will always be in the topmost menu, but the look and wording depend on whether your are on or off campus.
On Campus
These instruction apply when you are on a campus computer or wifi network.
In the upper righthand menu, click on the Sign in link. it should be the leftmost item.
Off Campus
If you are coming from off campus, click on the yellow banner to log into your account.
Step 3: Re-Enter Credentials (If Prompted)
You may be prompted to enter your Otis credentials via the login page.
You will know that you are logged in when you see the new dark blue menu in the top right corner (begins with My Loans).
Once you have signed in, you can see your current loans and requests in the topmost menu. (If you don't have any current loans or requests, these options will not apear.) The number in parentheses let you know how many items are checked out on your account.
Step 4. Customize Your Experience
My Folder
You can save and organize search results and items into the Folder. It also lists your current loans and requestions.
Preferences
Click on Preferences link in the top right menu to personlize your account. You can change the number of results per page, language, and other options.
You can make MLA the default citation format when you print, download, export, or email search results and items in My Folder.
